The City Council approved the use of neighborhood vehicles in Carbondale after amending the registration fee required. Council members Mary Pohlmann, Joel Fritzler and Lance Jack questioned the proposed annual registration fee of $100 per neighborhood vehicle, saying the fee was high compared to the state registration fee of $78 per conventional vehicle.

Since before noon, security has flooded campus, and now, representatives from Homeland Security, the FBI, swat teams, Rutherford County Emergency Management and Special Operatives Tennessee Highway Patrol are all on standby at the university.
Some news outlets have reported the malicious e-mail at the root of the sudden class cancellation was directed at a specific faculty member, but Lisa Rollins from the Office of News and Public Affairs confirms that more than one administrator and a few deans were recipients.

Yesterday afternoon, MTSU received e-mails from an unknown sender that detailed doing damage and killing people on campus.
