When the Eastern football team takes the field at 5:30 p.m. today, standing in its way of an outright Ohio Valley Conference Championship will be a team not expected to pose much of a challenge. But don't tell that to Eastern junior cornerback C.J. James. "They're very talented," the Panthers' team-leader in interceptions said.

The Hillsdale College football team will enter uncharted Saturday when they play in the first round of the Division II playoffs. A No. 6 seed in Super Region 3, the Chargers are matched against 10-1, No. 3-seed Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Tennessee Martin dismissed the Eastern football team last year in a YouTube video after the Skyhawks won 29-26. "N-O-T-H-I-N-G, that's what Panthers mean to me," was what the Skyhawk locker room spelled out last season after a win. The only video on Saturday afternoon was one that Eastern senior defensive end Trevor Frericks called a 'video game-like' performance by the Panthers as they cruised to a 49-13 win against the Skyhawks at O'Brien Field.
