Miami University slammed into its men's basketball season with a buzzer beater win over Weber State University Wednesday. Now, two seasons removed from a MAC tournament title and an NCAA tournament appearance, the RedHawks look to rebound in 2008-09. The few, and (perhaps) proud, RedHawk fans who braved the elements to take in the matchup of the Miami RedHawks and Ball State Cardinals Tuesday night were witnesses to a microcosm of the football team's season. While the first half treated those in attendance to the potential of what this season could have been for the RedHawks and their supporters, the second half demonstrated the disappointing reality that has been the prevailing story line for most of the year.… 1 Comment

First-place RedHawks to face off against Spartans
Though polls place the No. 10 Miami University men's ice hockey team well ahead of No. 17 Michigan State University, the upcoming series in East Lansing, Mich. is bound to be closer than those numbers convey. The RedHawks, now 4-3-3 on the season and 4-2-2-1 in conference play, will take to the road November 14-15 to spar with the Spartans, who are 4-2-2 overall and 2-2-2-2 in the CCHA.… Post the First Comment
