On average, the city of Oxford generates 6,030 tons of landfill waste a year at the Rumpke landfill, according to David Treleaven, environmental specialist in the Oxford Service Department. The city reopened bidding for city waste collection Thursday.

The Fisher family of Oxford has a new home now that Miami University's chapter of Habitat for Humanity is going to finish construction of their house in the next four to six weeks.
Although the organization has been helping families like the Fishers for years and has fully sponsored four houses in the past, the Fishers' house is the first house Miami's Habitat chapter has fully sponsored in five years.…

The city of Hamilton's renovation project Vision 2020 has added the Great Miami River to its list of initiatives.
The Vision Commission, headed by Chair Nancy Wiley, is looking to draw people toward the Great Miami, which runs through Hamilton. According to Wiley, the Vision 2020 Commission created a Riverfront Development Committee to help make the river a "recreational centerpiece" for the city of Hamilton.…
