GOALTENDING:
Both teams possess junior goaltenders who will be stopping pucks in the NHL within just a few short years. Miami's Jeff Zatkoff is the No. 1 goaltender in the nation with a .937 save percentage and a 1.5019 goals against average. Michigan's Billy Sauer is right behind Zatkoff with a .935 save percentage and a 1.7240 GAA.

FORWARDS:
Miami is the only team in the country with two 20-goal scorers in Ryan Jones and Justin Mercier. However, Michigan is just one goal away from Chad Kolarik from accomplishing that feat. With the addition of Nathan Davis back to the Miami lineup, look for Miami to be once again in full swing. With freshmen Carter Camper, Tommy Wingels and Pat Cannone Miami's forwards are tops in the nation.

DEFENSE:
Despite Miami's great leadership from Mitch Ganzak and Kevin Roeder, this might be where the Wolverines outdo the RedHawks. Miami is No. 1 in the nation allowing just 1.54 goals a game, but Michigan is No. 2 allowing just 1.82 goals per game. Behind Michigan's leadership and skill of Mark Mitera and Steve Kampfer, the Wolverines might have more depth in their defensive lineup. Throw in Chris Summers and Chad Langlais, Michigan's defense is very good. Let's see if the RedHawks can break it.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Miami is the best in the nation at killing penalties, successfully killing 90.4 percent of all penalties called against them. Michigan is at 89 percent, which drops them to eighth in the country. On the power play, Miami is ninth in the nation converting on 21 percent of all opportunities, while Michigan is 11th at 20.9.
